A Change is Gonna Come

January 17, 2017

Is there any word more prevalent in our country right now other than “Change?” It’s all everyone is talking about, and rightly so. Change is important for growth and improvement, but what what seems to appear most frequently in the news and social media is the anxiety and fear surrounding healthcare change.

Yes, the only thing we can all be sure of is…Change! Regardless of where you stand on this critical issue, I believe we can all agree on one thing; the Importance of Patient Experience.

The Beryl Institute defines Patient Experience this way:

“The sum of all interactions, shaped by an organization’s culture, that influence patient perceptions across the continuum of care.”

The Cleveland Clinic says:

“The patient experience is about managing all 360 degrees of our patient’s care.”

We’ve come so far from the hospitals of the early 1900’s! Technology and advances are astounding and the constant advancement in equipment is extraordinary!  Gleaming white floors and polished state-of-the-art machinery have become de rigueur. We are so fortunate to live in this time of evolvement in the medical world. Better, Bigger, Badder!

The patient. Adult or child. Sick, hurting, fearful, reticent, and completely dependent on not only the medical staff, but also their surroundings to give them comfort and consolation. The patient needs to feel and to see that they are in a safe place; a place of healing. We, at Dream Think Imagine are solely devoted to that end. Working closely with each facility and all budgets to create spaces that provide a healing environment. We’ve witnessed over and again the reactions of the patients, the family, and the staff to our themed rooms! DTI is absolutely passionate about what we do!

Please contact us about your patient experience improvements. Dream Think Imagine is comprised of creative thinkers, artists, sculptors, and painters who will work purposefully to deliver jaw-dropping results to your institution.
